Road ClosuresN51 between Slane and DroghedaDue to continuing road works on the approach road from the N2 and new works on the N51 between Slane and Drogheda, visitors to Brú na Bóinne are advised to follow diversion signs and allow an extra 30 minutes travelling time. If travelling from the West, try to approach from Drogheda (Donore via Duleek, or via Collon). Alternatively, if possible take the M1 and then Exit 9.L1600 to Brú na Bóinne Visitor Centre from the N2 (Dublin – Slane Road)The approach road (L1600) to Brú na Bóinne Visitor Centre from the N2 (Dublin – Slane Road) is closed to facilitate repair to the road and wall at Rossnaree. To avoid the diversion routes visitors to the Brú na Bóinne Visitor Centre are advised to approach from the East (Drogheda side). If travelling on the M1 motorway the Exit is Exit 9.All access to Newgrange is through the Brú na Bóinne Visitor Centre 2km west of Donore village on the south side of the River Boyne. (GPS Co-Ordinates: N53.694567 W6.4463) Visitors are brought by shuttle bus to and from the sites. Access is by guided tour only with limited places on each tour. From Dublin via the M1 MotorwayTake the M1 north and exit at junction 9 (second exit after the toll). This is signed for Donore and Brú na Bóinne. Go through the village of Donore and the Visitor Centre is 2km past the village on the right hand side.M1 Motorway from the NorthTake the M1 heading south. Take the first exit after the Boyne Cable Bridge. This is signed for Donore and Brú na Bóinne. Go through the village of Donore and the Visitor Centre is 2km past the village on the right hand side.From DroghedaTake the Donore Road from the Bus Station which is located just off the N1 on the south side of the River Boyne. Travel 7km to the village of Donore, the visitor centre is 2km past the village on the right hand side.
