The Faerie Forts of Ireland and the Underworld of the Sídhe

Book cover: The Faerie Forts of Ireland and the Underworld of the Sídhe by Jack Roberts.

The Faerie Forts of Ireland and the Underworld of the Sídhe. This book is about a particular type of prehistoric monument that, although it has comparable examples on mainland Britain and parts of western Europe, developed within Ireland into a unique tradition of monument construction that is of such complexity and quantity that we are only now beginning to comprehend its true significance.

This is the hidden heritage of the Irish landscape, a heritage that is almost everywhere, often forgotten and sometimes entirely hidden, yet within these monuments is contained almost the entire prehistoric story.

This is the story of Ireland's unique and mysterious faerie forts.
